Claremont McKenna College invites applications for 1-2 visiting one-year positions in psychological sciences. Successful applicants will teach five courses over the course of a two-semester academic year. Applicants will likely teach two introduction to psychological sciences classes, may teach our 2-course research methods sequence, may teach a lower-level class in their area of specialization, and possibly an upper level course in their area of expertise. Typical class size is 19 students. The applicant may also be asked to supervise a small number senior psychology students independent research projects. We seek candidates who are capable of demonstrating competence and sensitivity in working in a college in which students are broadly diverse with regard to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, socioeconomic backgrounds, religion and political viewpoint, and/or candidates who have a record of teaching a diverse student population.
