The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Johns Hopkins University ( http://pbs.jhu.edu ) seeks to hire two individuals for the rank of full-time Junior Lecturer.  The Junior Lecturers will contribute to the department’s educational mission by serving as professional teaching assistants (TA) for courses taught by faculty. The Junior Lecturers will not be responsible for developing or teaching courses on their own but instead will provide support to existing courses. Duties will likely include grading, managing online course materials, assisting with course organization, leading smaller course discussion sections, and supporting student learning in office hours.  The anticipated course load is eight undergraduate courses during the academic year (four per semester). Position Description The Psychology Department at Yale University is looking to hire a lecturer with an initial 1-year appointment beginning Sept. 1, 2022. The goal of this position is to teach history of psychology with a focus on racism and colonial power embedded in psychology and the psychological sciences more broadly.  We envision that these courses will allow graduate and undergraduate students to not only learn about, but also think critically about the racist, sexist, and classist past and present of psychology and the ways in which such systems of power interact with their own research practices.
