The Department of Psychology at Northern Illinois University (NIU) seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor with expertise in child clinical psychology to begin in August of 2025. The specific area within child clinical psychology is open, but preference will be given to candidates with training and interests in the areas of developmental psychopathology, mental health disparities, assessment, trauma, or anxiety disorders. Successful candidates will be expected to supervise theses and dissertations, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, provide clinical supervision, actively seek extramural funding for their research program, and serve as a role model for Ph.D. students in our APA-accredited scientist-practitioner program with a strong research emphasis.
