The Department of Psychology at Northern Illinois University (NIU) seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in neuroscience and behavior. Applications are invited from individuals that use modern neuroscience or physiological techniques to investigate the basis of developmental, cognitive, or social phenomena. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate the potential to establish an independent research program that will provide translational learning experiences for students and will attract extramural funding. In addition, the candidate is expected to contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate classes within their area of expertise. Finally, the candidate will be involved in mentoring students through capstone, MA, and PhD projects.
