The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2022-2023. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 28, 2023. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology or other terminal degree. Highly qualified applicants with a master’s degree related to Psychology will be considered. The position will require the incumbent to teach three courses per semester (fall and spring) in Psychology, including our introductory course Psychology as a Natural Science, and other courses such as Behavior Principles, Drugs and Behavior, Memory and Cognition, and Conditioning and Learning. All faculty are expected to hold office hours and participate in School and University activities and service.
