The Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology is responsible for training medical and clinical psychology doctoral students, fully participating in clinical and academic activities of the National Capital Consortium training programs, and continuing education courses in University-sponsored programs. The CDP was established in 2006 as a tri-service behavioral health training consortium focused on preparing military and civilian behavioral health providers to better address the needs of service members, veterans, and their families. The CDP has evolved to serve as a leader in the development of a community of culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through the delivery of high-quality training, the convening of experts, and the dissemination of research-based treatment and content in military behavioral health.
