For this call, our particular focus is on scholars in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, as well as Indigenous scholars in any country. The Georgetown Lab for Relational Cognition invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on NSF- and foundation-funded projects related to creative cognition. The post-doc will help to lead projects that use computational methods to model and foster creative thinking abilities, and that employ neuromodulation (TMS, tES) in combination with neuroimaging toward enhancing creativity and executive function. There will be ample opportunity, dependent on the post-doc’s level of interest, to engage with many other ongoing projects in the lab related to learning in real-world educational contexts, reasoning, and human character strengths and virtues. The Georgetown Laboratory for Relational Cognition , directed by Adam Green, anticipates hiring a research coordinator. The position will focus on an NSF-funded study of concept development and reasoning in real-world high school education, and will also involve contributions to lab-based studies on cognitive and neural mechanisms of creativity. Responsibilities will include outreach to students and families as well as teachers and school administrators. Depending on level of interest, the research coordinator will have substantial opportunity to engage with all aspects of the project, including collection and analysis of behavioral and brain-imaging data.
