The Psychology Department at Furman University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Candidates must have expertise in social or social cognitive psychology and be committed to excellent teaching and producing high-quality research with undergraduate collaborators. A Ph.D. in Psychology is required by the position’s start date of August 1, 2027. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and supportive department with outstanding teaching and research resources. Candidates will teach courses in stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination, along with introductory psychology and research methods and statistics. They may also have the opportunity to teach other courses that support or expand the department’s curriculum, including a first-year writing seminar.
