The Princeton Social Neuroscience Lab is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate   to begin in September 2018. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the cognitive and neural processes that support naturalistic social interactions and social connection. The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for all aspects of this project, from design and deployment of studies to data analysis and dissemination of results. We are looking for a candidate with an existing multi-modal research program on social cognition and experience with behavioral methods, fMRI, eye-tracking, and patient studies. The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for investigating spatial and temporal neural dynamics related to dyadic social interactions, and thus the ideal candidate will need to be familiar with non-traditional fMRI analysis techniques (e.g., MVPA, RSA). The ideal candidate will also have strong scientific computing skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R) and a demonstrated ability to teach others these skills.   Essential Qualifications: - Doctoral degree in psychology or neuroscience - Existing research program on social cognition in adults - Experience with behavioral, fMRI, eye-tracking, and patient studies - Experience with non-conventional fMRI analysis techniques - Experience in scientific computing (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, shell scripting, etc.) Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
