We are seeking to hire a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to participate in two related NSF and DOD interdisciplinary projects involving social and cognitive scientists, neuroscientists, computer scientists, and bioengineers.  Both projects are focused on measuring human performance and interpersonal dynamics with multimodal sensors including eye tracking, EEG (ERP and time-frequency), physiological (HRV and GSR), and behavioral (e.g., RT, kinematic) measures.  This position is sponsored by the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory ( http://www.indiana.edu/~dcnlab/index.html ) directed by Professor Bennett I. Bertenthal in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences. The department of Psychological & Brain Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences at Indiana University is among the leading psychology departments in the U.S. and includes a large number of faculty, postdocs, and grad students in social and cognitive science as well as neuroscience.  Additional opportunities for collaboration are available with faculty in both the department of Psychological & Brain Sciences and the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering.  Indiana University Bloomington is located in the wooded, rolling hills of southern Indiana 50 miles south of Indianapolis.  It is a culturally thriving college town with a moderate cost of living, and it is renowned for its top-ranked music school, performing and fine arts, historic campus, cycling traditions, active lifestyle, and natural beauty. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a strong background and relevant experience in human perception and performance, decision making, or social interaction. They should also have considerable expertise with one or more of the following methods:  eye tracking, EEG/ERP, or physiological methods.  Applicants are expected to have a record of conducting independent research and communicating results via publications and presentations. In addition, applicants should demonstrate ability for effective participation in collaborative, interdisciplinary research while in residence at Indiana University. Salary:  The position is full time, in residence at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, with a salary of $45,000 - $53,000 commensurate with experience, plus generous benefits and funding for project travel. The initial position is for 1 year, renewable for up to two additional years based on performance and availability of funds.
