The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Fairfield University invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin in the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, pending final budgetary approval. Although the area of specialization within psychology is open for both positions, we hope to fill one position with an applicant whose teaching and/or research experiences relate to cultural psychology, broadly conceived.  Applicants are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field, but strong ABD candidates who expect their degree by Fall 2025 will also be considered. The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Fairfield University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2024-25 academic year (Fall 2024 and Spring 2025). The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in social, cognitive, or developmental psychology.  Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field, but strong ABD candidates will also be considered. The teaching load is 4 courses per semester and will include courses such as General Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of specialization.
