A postdoctoral position in the neuroscience/behavior of alcohol addiction is available at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry with Dr. Brandon Oberlin.  The applicant will be motivated by an interest in the neural and behavioral economics of addiction, and should hold a Ph.D. in addiction neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, or a related discipline.  The Oberlin lab seeks to elucidate mechanisms of addiction-related decision making, with special focus on inherited risk, addiction sub-phenotypes, behavioral classification, and treatment outcomes.  The applicant will be expected to develop a strong research project within these areas.  Passion about research in alcoholism/addiction behavior is crucial, with expertise in fMRI, matlab/SPM, Eprime, R, and behavioral paradigms especially desirable.  The IUSM, in collaboration with Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis, continues to be a world leader in alcohol research (e.g., ), and Indianapolis is a vibrant and affordable city that is advancing health and life sciences ( ).  Salary will be competitive and based upon qualifications and experience.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.   To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae and contact information for three references to (; Brandon Oberlin, Assistant Professor, IUSM Department of Psychiatry, 355 W 16th St. Ste 4800, Indianapolis, IN 46202, Voice: (317) 963-7215.  Indiana University is an equal employment and affirmative action employer and a provider of ADA services.
