The Psychology Department at Illinois College invites applicants for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in cognitive psychology. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in a field relevant to cognitive psychology, a clear plan for involving undergraduates in research, and evidence of successful teaching experience. ABD candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses related to cognitive psychology, research and statistical methods, introduction to psychology, social psychology, and other courses in their area of expertise. The successful candidate will establish and maintain a quality research program involving our undergraduate students. The Psychology Department recognizes the rich potential for collaboration and interdisciplinary work. Candidates whose research or teaching could support our new Neuroscience concentration or other interdisciplinary programs on campus are especially encouraged to apply.
