SBSI is a new interdisciplinary initiative comprised of scholars within the School of Arts and Sciences interested in the study of human social behavior and decision making. SBSI faculty are located primarily in the psychology department, but also in SAS departments that share an interest in human behavior and decision making, including communication, criminology, linguistics, philosophy, and political science. Topics of interest of faculty include judgment and decision-making, morality and cooperation, social cognition and evolutionary and cultural origins of behavior.
