Lecturer in Political Psychology School of Politics and Global Studies Arizona State University The School of Politics and Global Studies (SPGS) at Arizona State University (Tempe) invites applications for a full-time, lecturer position in the area of Political Psychology. This is a fiscal year, benefits-eligible appointment that is renewable on a yearly basis contingent on performance and funding availability. The anticipated start date is July 2020. The position is open with respect to substantive focus within the broadly defined field of political psychology. The expectations of this position include designing, developing, and teaching courses for a new online MA in Political Psychology; advising and mentoring online masters students; assisting with internships and capstone projects; and assisting with the administration of the program. The School of Politics and Global Studies values interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship, and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to interact with the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University. Minimum Qualifications: candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Political Science, Psychology, or related discipline by the time of appointment; demonstrated excellence in teaching commensurate with appointment at the level of lecturer; promise in and commitment to online teaching. Desired qualifications: demonstrated success meeting the needs of diverse student populations and/or reaching out to diverse communities; experience advising students; experience teaching online courses; a research and teaching focus in political psychology.
