Illinois State University, Normal/Bloomington Developmental Psychology, Latino/a Psychological Development The Department of Psychology seeks applicants with demonstrated research expertise in Latino/a psychological development, for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Developmental Psychology. This individual will hold a joint appointment in the Latin American Latino/a Studies program. The Department of Psychology at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, has over 500 undergraduate majors, 130 graduate students, and 31 full-time faculty members. The successful applicant will be expected to teach developmental courses for both graduate and undergraduate students, as well as one course per semester for the Latin American Latino/a Studies program. This person will also be expected to supervise master’s-level theses and other graduate student projects, and generate and sustain a program of research. Applicants must also be open to teaching at all levels based on department needs. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD with Ph.D. imminent) in Developmental Psychology, with demonstrated research expertise in Latino/a psychological development. The position begins August 16, 2019. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
