The Department of Psychology invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Psychology beginning August 1, 2019. This position is a 10-month per year term.
The successful candidate will teach General Psychology, Statistical Techniques, and other courses in his/her area of expertise as well as supervise undergraduate research. The ability to teach courses in experimental and health psychology or other applied areas in psychology is desirable, as is experience supervising undergraduate research and experience using teaching technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching statistics at an undergraduate level.
Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester; maintaining an active, productive research program that fully involves undergraduate students; contributing to the assessment of the psychology major and student learning outcomes; and engaging in campus initiatives to increase retention and enrollment, as well as being active in service to the department and engaging in service to the campus as a whole.
