Centenary College of Louisiana is a private, four-year liberal arts institution located in Shreveport, LA. Founded in 1825 and affiliated with the United Methodist Church, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River.

Building on a firm foundation in the liberal arts, Centenary is committed to education that happens inside and outside the classroom, in the community, and in the world. Centenary students will be challenged to read, listen, and think critically; to write and speak clearly; to analyze, interpret, and synthesize ideas and information qualitatively and quantitatively; to celebrate the diversity of human cultures; and to appreciate the value of artistic expression.
