JOB TITLE: Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor of Psychological Science DEPARTMENT: Department of Psychological Science REPORTS TO: Department of Psychological Science Chairperson FLSA Status: Exempt Summary The Department of Psychological Science seeks applicants for a one-year (with possibility of renewal), full-time visiting instructor or assistant professor of psychological science to begin August 2018. The preferred candidate has doctorate level background in one or more of the following areas – developmental, clinical, counseling, personality, or social psychology. We seek a colleague who values a liberal arts education and who is willing to provide service to the department. Primary teaching responsibilities may include courses in Developmental Psychology (Child and Adolescent Development), Abnormal Psychology, Personality Psychology, and Introduction to Psychological Science. Qualifications Ph.D. in Psychology/Psychological science (with an emphasis in developmental psychology, clinical or counseling psychology, personality psychology or related field) preferred and required for appointment at the Assistant Professor level. ABD candidates, who will complete their doctorate by July 1, 2018, will be considered for the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates with an appropriate master’s degree will be consider for the rank of Instructor.
