The Psychology Department at the State University of New York, College at Plattsburgh announces a full-time position of Lecturer beginning Fall 2018. The successful candidate should be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. The person should also demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues. SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world. Therefore, we value faculty who can bring expertise in those areas.  Responsibilities Include: Teaching undergraduate courses that may include Personality, Experimental Design, upper level course in an area related to social psychology, and/or upper level seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise. The full-time teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Candidates may be asked to teach courses in a distance learning format.  Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have demonstrated college level teaching expertise as well as an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.  Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or A.B.D. in Psychology or a closely related field is preferred.
