Brown is a nonprofit leading research university distinct for its student-centered learning and deep sense of purpose. Our students, faculty and staff are driven by the idea that their work will have an impact in the world.
The Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship teaches entrepreneurship as a process for solving problems. We provide curricular, co-curricular, and venture support to help our community to have an impact at scale. Across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, we work with world-class researchers to further scholarly inquiry in entrepreneurship. We express this curricular part of our strategy through formal courses in the classroom, sponsoring independent studies beyond the classroom, offering a Certificate in Entrepreneurship, and supporting students and faculty interested in entrepreneurship research via colloquia and conferences.
