Postdoctoral Position in Social Cognition at the Booth School of Business   The Center for Decision Research (CDR) at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business seeks a post-doctoral researcher interested in social cognition, perspective taking, and intuitive human judgment. Nicholas Epley will manage the position and collaborate with the post-doctoral researcher. In addition to collaborating with the supervising faculty on research, the Research Professional will also serve as a Teaching Assistant for an MBA course taught by the managing faculty member.  The course, titled  Designing a Good Life,  focuses on behavioral ethics and wellbeing. The Research Professional will also be encouraged to develop and pursue his or her own independent research. The position includes funding for collaborative and independent projects, access to all CDR resources, and use of multiple laboratory facilities for conducting research.   The position is expected to last two years with the possibility of a third year. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Develop original research questions independently and in collaboration with faculty in the CDR, and implement studies to investigate those questions.  Participate in study design, data acquisition and analysis, manuscript development, and presentation/publication of results.    Teaching Assistant responsibility for two sections each year of a behavioral ethics course for MBAs taught by the managing faculty member.
