A two-year postdoctoral research fellowship is available at the Department of Psychology at Wesleyan University.  We seek an outstanding researcher with a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field, interested in collaborating in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.  The postdoctoral fellow will work with Dr. Kyungmi Kim and Dr. Charles Sanislow on research projects that investigate memory, perception, and other cognitive/affective processes relevant to self-related processing.  The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to research the mechanisms associated with these processes and also interested in clarifying disruptions in these mechanisms pertinent to clinical problems.  This position is well suited for a recent Ph.D. graduate committed to working at the intersection of cognitive and clinical science.  Methods could include behavioral and cognitive neuroscience approaches (e.g., memory test paradigms, cognitive/perceptual tasks, EEG/ERP).  The fellow will be involved in all aspects of research including study development, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of research findings, will teach an undergraduate seminar one semester each year in their area of interest, and have the opportunity to mentor exceptional undergraduates involved in research.  This fellowship is designed to prepare the fellow to compete successfully for a tenure-track position in cognitive psychology and/or experimental psychopathology, and includes training and supervision to develop an independent research program and to mentor and teach undergraduates.  Wesleyan is a selective liberal arts institution with faculty actively engaged in innovative research. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in psychology or a related field Preferred Qualifications Competitive candidates will have a demonstrated ability to complete projects as evidenced by first-author publications, experience in behavioral experimental research, and proficiency with programming and statistical analysis software (e.g., Matlab, Psyscope, Presentation, Brain Vision Analyzer, R, SPSS).
