University of Michigan- Assistant Professor of Psychology through Michigan Program for Advancing Cultural Transformation (M-PACT)

Job Description

The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan seeks outstanding scholars for new tenure-track assistant professor faculty positions as part of the Michigan Program for Advancing Cultural Transformation (M-PACT) Program. This hiring program, a federally funded, university-wide faculty initiative, aims to recruit faculty with a demonstrated and ongoing record of driving  transformative research, life-changing teaching, and accessible clinical care that will support the health of all, including communities who have been underserved. By partnering with faculty throughout their careers, M-PACT strengthens the capacity of those who serve as catalysts for change in academic and healthcare environments via their scholarship, teaching, and/or service activities with research interests suitable for funding by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This call is part of a broader university effort to enhance inclusive excellence across the biomedical and health sciences community. This is a full-time, university year appointment with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2027.

The Department of Psychology seeks a scholar whose work advances this mission. Successful candidates could focus on any area of psychology; the field of specialization is open. Areas of particular interest include: clinical intervention and prevention science; developmental psychology or developmental neuroscience/cognitive neuroscience including early child development and aging; and psychological science that addresses societal challenges - such as health disparities, implementation science, and interdisciplinary work connecting psychological science to public policy, community engagement, or societal impact.
