The past few years have witnessed the emergence of powerful AI systems that can use language, reason, and act in increasingly human-like ways. From these developments, a new subfield of cognitive science is emerging, one that compares information processing across biological and artificial minds, and uses insights from the study of natural minds to develop new computational capacities in artificial minds.
