The Department of Psychology at Amherst College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor from candidates with a Ph.D. in social psychology, beginning July 1, 2027. This appointment is ideal for candidates with a strong commitment to teaching and an active research program. The successful candidate will be able to develop and teach courses that include introductory psychology, statistics, social psychology, and an advanced seminar; will supervise honors projects; and will contribute to the overall academic environment of the psychology department and the college.
